A Journey to Belonging is a heartfelt memoir about Alex, an unaccompanied minor from Ukraine, and his search for safety and connection in Sweden after fleeing war. The story captures the emotional and practical challenges of building trust and creating a new home. The book highlights the complexities of the foster care system and the deep human need for belonging.
PHOENIX
Phoenix is an allegorical and politically charged novel that intertwines poetic storytelling with a deeply critical examination of authoritarian regimes. The story follows Sovinto, a young woman living under a dystopian theocratic dictatorship called the Eternal Land. Through her eyes, we witness how ideology, fear, and state control permeate education, culture, gender roles, and personal relationships. As a former friend is executed, and her brother is missing, Sovinto navigates a world of surveillance, conformity, and deep inner conflict — torn between loyalty to the regime and buried memories of resistance and loss.
